Why?

Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some, but not all, sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.

Definitions

Affiliates - Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Nonaffiliates - Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Joint Marketing - A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

Other important information

California
Under California law, we will not share information we collect about you with companies outside of Tech Friends, unless the law allows. For example, we may share information to process your transactions, service your accounts, or to provide rewards or benefits to which you are entitled.

Nevada
We are providing you this notice under state law. We may on occasion make marketing calls to our existing customers. Data Collection Through Technology
Tech Friends collects certain digital information that your browser makes available when you visit www.jailatm.com. This digital information includes your Internet Protocol (also known as an “IP”) address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your query and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. We do not share any of this digital information with Affiliates or third parties; instead, we use this information to operate, develop and improve our services to you and other users

Cookies
A “cookie” is a small file containing a string of characters that we may send to your computer when you visit one of our websites. We use cookies to improve the quality of our services and to better understand how people interact with us. Tech Friends does this by storing user preferences in cookies. "Do Not Track" Signals
Tech Friends does not respond to “do not track” signals or other mechanisms that provide consumers the ability to exercise choice regarding the collation of personally identifiable information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across third-party web sites or online services.

Children's Online Privacy
Tech Friends websites are not directed at or meant for the use of children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or keep personal information of children under the age of 13.

Tech Friends’ websites may contain links to or from third party sites. Tech Friends is not responsible for the content, terms of use, or privacy practices of third party websites linked to or from ours.

LIMITED PRIVACY FOR INMATE TRANSACTIONS

Deposits and Purchases
Tech Friends JailATM website and kiosks may be used to make allowed purchases for, or deposit money for use by, inmates of jails, prisons, or other places of government-sponsored incarceration or detention of individuals. Information regarding a deposit or purchase may be shared with corrections or law enforcement entities and their agents at any time in response to a subpoena, court order, or in support of a law enforcement investigation.

Electronic Mail and Video Visitation
Tech Friends websites may be used for monitored and restricted communications to and from inmates of jails, prisons, or other places of government-sponsored incarceration or detention of individuals. Unless you are a corrections agency-approved Confidential Visitor, all electronic mail and/or video visitation communications are subject at all times to interception, monitoring, review, and recording at any time by law enforcement or other authorized corrections personnel. Tech Friends cannot grant or approve Confidential Visitor status. To become an approved Confidential Visitor of an inmate, you must contact the corrections agency in charge of the facility in which the inmate is housed.

Legal Notices - Money Transmission

Tech Friends is a licensed or permitted money transmitter in a number of states. To see the notices that state law requires us to provide to you, please go to the Terms of Use tab on our website www.jailatm.com.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Tech Friends may modify or amend this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make any material change in how we collect, use or share your personal information, we will prominently post notice of the changes, and the revised Privacy Policy, on the websites covered by this Policy. All material changes to this Policy will be effective 7 days after our posting of the notice of the changes on the websites covered by this Privacy Policy.
